Maths work

a. Take away two sticks from this pattern
to leave only two squares.
I took away the top two lines to make two  squares

b. What other polygons could you get by
taking away two sticks from this pattern?
I  took away two of the middle lines to make a rectangle

Problem two
here are three examples
123+987=1110
374+859=1233
648+274=922


Problem three desks
I worked out that there were 6 lines of desks  going front to back and 5 rows of desks going left to right.
5x6=30


Problem 4

Mr Smith is 30 years old.
In six years’ time, he will be three
times as old as his son Sidney.
How old is Sidney now?
In 6 years time Mr S is 36. split 36 by three is 12

Amazing work for the week

  This work is one off the the best I have done yet. The writing was actually  quite hard to understand but once I had it, it was easy.
